Is the Deputy Vice Chancellor at Muteesa I Royal University in charge of academic affairs. He joined MRU in August 2017 after having served in various academic and administrative positions at the Islamic University in Uganda for a period of 27 years. His research interests are in comparative civilization studies focusing on the Islamic, the Western and the African wherein he searches for influences, contributions, relationships. He is convinced that the commonalities between civilizations could formulate the basis for tolerance and peaceful coexistence, while the differences therein could be the basis for respect of one another, within the human race that has had diverse experiences in the historical process. He has a number of publications up his sleeve and the most outstanding ones are the two books namely: i) Islam and Human Rights: A Critical Assessment of Contemporary Muslim Approaches to the Human Rights Discourse.
