EACOP Officials Recognized for Their Visit to MRU Kirumba Campus

This morning, officials from the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) paid a special visit to Muteesa I Royal University’s Kirumba Campus in Masaka. The visit aimed at exploring avenues for academic–industry collaboration, skills development, and knowledge sharing between the two institutions.

During the visit, the Deputy Vice Chancellor formally presented a Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of the University, recognizing the EACOP team for their engagement and commitment to regional development.

The interaction offered a platform for dialogue on potential partnerships in areas such as research, internships, and community outreach—areas where MRU continues to thrive.

Such engagements demonstrate MRU’s commitment to building industry-academia partnerships that enhance education and research through practical experience and collaboration.
They also pave the way for long-term collaboration aimed at solving real-world challenges.
