Muteesa I Royal University (MRU) is a chartered private university in Uganda. It was established in 2007 by Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, with the aim of supporting education within the Buganda region and beyond. MRU has two branches: the main campus in Kirumba, Masaka City, and the Kampala Campus in Kakeeka, Rubaga Division.  The cool quiet ambiance at the top of Kirumba hill gives an excellent reading and research environment for all inquisitive minds that are fit for purpose, while at Kakeeka one gets a full throttle of bustling business alongside the academic environment created by faculty and students within the prescincts of MRU.
