Muteesa I Royal University’s Dean Awarded Fellowship at the University of Leeds, UK

Congratulations to the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Arts, and Humanities at Muteesa I
Royal University for being awarded the LUCAS/LAHRI fellowship at the University of Leeds,
UK for the 2024-2025 period.
During this fellowship, she will collaborate with Associate Professor Lisa Thorley on research
project. Additionally, they will work on another project titled “Climate Change, Agriculture
Practices, and Health Outcomes among Female-Based Community Farming Groups in Uganda.”
This study will focus on the Kaliro district, specifically targeting women with disabilities in
smart agriculture initiatives. These collaborative projects coincide with her completion of a previous research project funded by the African Peace Building Network (APN) in New York, totaling USD 60,000.

This project involved partnerships with teams from the University of Nairobi, Dei University in Ethiopia, and the Catholic University of Yambio in South Sudan.
